@NDLiteracy My favorite teacher was my second grade teacher Mrs. Rohde. She is such a great person. She taught patience and respect and I felt like she genuinely cared about everyone and wanted everyone to do their best. I loved going to school! #ncrc
@NDLiteracy A great way would be to meet up again with other teachers at events. The reading carousel does a great job of that and now this Twitter is doing it as well! Maybe a short time during a staff meeting or PLC would be a great time to do that as well! #ncrc
@NDLiteracy PD that is directly related to the area I teach in is the most beneficial to me. I love getting together with people from the grade level I teach and sharing ideas and experiences. #ncrc
@NDLiteracy I give them the choice of writing about what they would like. I also list ideas so that they can get started if they are stuck. They also have different areas they can write at, maybe laying down, picnic table, at their table spots. Again choices are key in my opinion to great
@NDLiteracy I love getting ideas from instragram, Pinterest, and blogs. It’s great getting to read about how things were implemented and also how it went when they were. #ncrc
@NDLiteracy I thinking giving students choices throughout the day helps them feel in control. During daily 5 they get to choose books they want and also they get some choice on which learning game they want to do. #ncrc
@NDLiteracy A6. Currently I am reading The Girl in the Green Sweater. My favorite read alouds would be The Book with No Pictures, any of the Mr. Panda books, and Mean Jean the Recess Queen. I am currently reading Lost at School. #ncrcchat
@mandyb_1424@NDLiteracy It's funny how one year the lesson works great and the next year the class does not respond well or understand the lesson! Just goes to show you every class is different!
@NDLiteracy A5. I re-vamp/ modify as needed. It could even be during a lesson where I see that this is just not reaching the kiddos and I need to liven it up or tone it down. It all depends on how the kiddos are responding and if they can confidently answer questions. #ncrcchat
