An annual tradition in the Middle School, sixth-grade students enjoyed an exhilarating 48 hours of engaging with the ecosystem of the Chesapeake Bay. Thank you to the outstanding facilitators from the @chesapeakebay for introducing our students to the wonders of the Bay.
Thanks @KentWetzelFCPS and @mikemarkoeFCPS your session on leading with the brain in mind was a highlight for me. Thanks for walking your talk during this presentation. There is nothing quite like @TheCTTL and FCPS partnership! #researchFRED
I had the best time at #researchFRED. My mind is spinning with new ideas and my cup is full from seeing so many old (and new) friends. Thanks @MegVertebrae for creating such an incredible day!

Ellen Oh (@ElloEllenOh), an award-winning author and cofounder of @diversebooks, engaged Middle Schoolers around writing fantasy and telling diverse stories. Oh curated the short-story anthology, "The Hero Next Door," which was this year's Middle School summer reading.
Middle School students are deepening their understanding of the achievements and excellence of Black people as part of daily Black History Month lessons and conversations. Students created posters about notable Black figures, which are now on display in the Middle School hallway.
@pternes So grateful for @pternes who continues to provide spaces for our middle school students to think hard about math and most importantly to have fun with math!
Watching MS students problem solve is so inspiring! They have the best thinking faces!
I really wish I was able to listen in on their thinking/internal dialogues... maybe I don't. #MTBoS
