The biggest takeaway from tonight isn’t $MSFT vs. $META. It’s what this means for the entire AI infra trade.
$META actually delivered a better capex outcome than feared by tightening its guidance rather than raising the ceiling again.
But unlike Microsoft, it still hasn’t shown the same direct link between AI spending and revenue acceleration, so the market remained unconvinced.
That’s bullish for the companies building the AI stack: $NBIS providing AI cloud capacity, $AEHR enabling AI chip burn-in, $AAOI $LITE and $COHR supplying optical connectivity, $TSEM manufacturing silicon photonics, and $MU and $SNDK supplying the memory that powers it all.
The question is no longer whether AI demand is real. Microsoft just showed it’s becoming AI revenue.
