@s8mb Similar thing has happened in Aus just recently - government axed the 50% 'discount' on capital gains tax for assets held beyond 12 months that was meant to be the compensation for lack of indexation. Plenty of people celebrating the removal of a 'tax dodge' etc
@dannolan@tommyfromsydney not having a line for NDIS waste is understandable but sad. Should be on the order of $20b in addition to the (likely understated anyway) fraud and non-compliance number. But no doubt Opus 4.8 sternly told our website owner it couldnโt include such a thing
@Romy_Holland@mbateman My 18m old routinely gives me 30min while she plays with her toys etc (if she has slept well, fed, feels content etc.). And her nap can be up to 2 hours.
@mumbletwits Yeah itโs ugly, and a side effect as it stands is that it will heavily incentivise as much aggregation of assets as possible (so heavily incentivise the most aggregated ETFs etc)
@dannolan@db_econ the other day my work copilot popped up with a tooltip in OneNote and said โSummarise this?โ
So I click yes and it loads a heavy RHS chat panel, thinks for a minute, and then says โSorry I canโt see that textโ
Cunt this was YOUR idea
@gbrl_dick many councils (including the inner west council of the great city of Sydney) will get you back to weekly if you call up and tell them your bin will have nappies in it
