I thought you were joking until I saw your follow up. No, I don't think you can blame Phil here. The What's in the Bible series is actually incredibly good content and was made before Phil went woke. It's 100x better than Veggie Tales and makes what Phil has become that much more sad.

I watched an interview with Rhett and Link before they apostasized where they talked about pitching Phil on giving them a full-time gig in his company, implying that their time spent with him was quite limited. Obviously, Rhett was never a genuine believer, but who knows what might have happened had they been hired by Phil. They went to Hollywood afterwards and we see how that turned out.

Good word. Having children helps me to understand my own consequences better. I try to do what I can to encourage them to keep their conscience working properly and I am so grateful to God when I see them following their conscience. My 15 year old wrote a simple apology note to my wife last night, and neither of us know what he is really apologizing for, but obviously, his conscience was bothering him. I pray he continues to listen to it and I pray that he and his siblings will be able to look to me as a positive example.

Btw, I don't need any media to tell me that my country and the rest of western civilization is being flooded with Muslims and that Islam is an evil ideology that has created untold amounts of suffering in the world. To argue that "Muslims were actually very kind to Christians" is propaganda of the highest order that only a Muslim or a rabid antisemite would swallow.

I have benefited greatly over the years from Alistair Begg's ministry and teaching. I have gone out of my way to attend a conference so that I could hear him preach in person. And of course, I don't agree with him on everything. But disagreement is not really the issue. The issue was his lack of humility. He refused to take correction and even implied that his critics were sexual deviants. His response grieved me much more than his unbiblical advice.

The problem with this this defense of his advice (a defense Alistair Begg employed) is that he gave it on a show that is meant for the express purpose of instructing believers in applying the Word of God to their lives. On top of that, the ministry is called "Truth for Life." If that doesn't imply that what is being taught is meant for personal application by the listener, then words cease to have any real meaning at all. He was wrong in his advice, and he made it worse by refusing correction. So disappointing.
