Going to give a running commentary of the final weekend before GCSE Lit 1 as a parent.
Used to it as an English teacher but WOW this is a totally different beast.

This morning we are happy as hell-kites. Or something. I keep forgetting the name of the kid in Christmas Carol.

Now I'm a bad parent because I suggest I eat my lunch before testing her on the animal imagery. She's being a proper little hell-kite.

Although we did have a useful convo about how to write about 'fair' and 'foul'. As a parent those words seem extra relevant and I'm starting to wonder if the whole thing is actually about teenagers.
