This was what the fearless journalist Gobeze Sisay told me right before his detention.

Around that time, we managed to rally the public on social media to contribute around 800,000 Birr (directly deposited to a committee) for victims of a major attack on residents in North Wollo.

Gobeze had many other humanitarian plans. However, his hard-hitting and exclusive reports about mass killings, destruction, and displacement were not liked by some who ultimately abducted him from his exile in Djibouti.

I'm sure a day will come when we all understand and appreciate the sacrifices he made due to his journalism work.
