Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords! For His mercy endures forever: To Him who alone does great wonders, For His mercy endures forever; To Him who by wisdom made the heavens, For His mercy endures forever;
- Psalm 136:3-5 (NKJV)
@factpostnews I wonder if this type of effort has been in place for people with cancer. I ask because I'm looking to see if this type of initiative has any precedence.
I just took action by asking my Representative to cosponsor an amendment to restore DESE-DDS funding. You can, too. @TheArcofMass https://t.co/gSahmbnIaY
@wrens_dens@nate_postlethwt I hear you. It still puzzles me that the H was taken away. My brother has ADD. _I_ had/have ADHD. We are so different. I'm all over the place physically. He was calm and quiet, but just as distracted. It's seriously frustrating that such a perfect description was removed
@nate_postlethwt When I finally acknowledged my PTSD and stopped tuning out the diagnosis with "oh, that's what veterans have". When I learned more about it, I realized it had a powerful impact on who I am and how I feel and react to the world around me.
@nate_postlethwt I'm very moved by this statement. Sometimes, it's like sitting alone on a curb and wondering where my caregivers are... and not knowing what they look like
Never underestimate a cycle breaker. Not only did they face years of generational trauma, but they stood in the face of that trauma and said “This ends with me.” This is brave. This is powerful. This comes at a significant cost. Never underestimate a cycle breaker.
@MatthewTabian95@adamfare1996 Fear... it often comes down to fear, and, if the truth is faced, then shame, deep regret, and more fear quickly follow. I don't think any parent would take pleasure in denying they are abusive. They'll have a flight or fight response.
@adamfare1996 I don't know everything or always best. When I don't know enough, I reach out to educational and medical specialists. I pray for wisdom. My son's opinion is paramount. It's not easy to ascertain what he wants, but _we_ try our best. I'm his guardian, not his dictator.
@AutisticCallum_ It sounds a bit like they are gaslighting you. If someone mistreats me and then pretends nothing happened, that would make me angry. I'm not autistic. You are not alone.
@foxinthemist That's one of my biggest fears... driving my loved ones away because of my depression. I feel shame, fear, and grief on any given day. My heart is with you, Katie.
