@jmwooldridge As someone who learned Stata 1st through the AEASP and uses R now, I don’t think it’s a disservice. Once you pick up one language it’s easier to learn another. If they’re going to a RAship or predoc then they need to know some Stata. Learning R or Python after becomes easier too.

There needs to be a mandatory class in high school on money and banking. The best course I took in college was Money and Banking which focused heavily on monetary policy, the Fed, recession reactions, and of course inflation. This needs to be knowledge everyone has.
