Doug Ford and his government can disappear for five months on a taxpayer-funded break while continuing to collect their very comfortable taxpayer-funded salaries, and somehow find the time to spend OUR tax dollars on ads attacking Ontario’s teachers.

Think about that.

Teachers. The people we entrust with our children every single day.

Instead of smaller classes, more EAs, better special-education supports and properly funded schools, Ford would rather spend public money trying to turn the public against educators.

Why?

Because an educated population asks questions. Critical thinkers are harder to manipulate. Strong public education gives children the tools to challenge governments, corporations and people in power and Ford’s actions make it increasingly difficult to believe that’s what he wants.

And let’s not ignore something else: teaching is a female-dominated profession. When a government repeatedly picks fights with educators, nurses and other predominantly female public-sector workforces, people have every right to question that pattern.

Stop using OUR money to attack teachers.

Use it to fund classrooms. Hire EAs. Reduce class sizes. Support special education. Fix our schools.

Ontario’s teachers are not the enemy.

Underfunding public education is.
