The fact that the bulk of the money awarded is based on punitive damages shows the problem in our justice system - punishing a person by awarding someone else money makes zero sence - the punitive damages should belong to the state

I can attest that over the last two decades, hitting in Yeshivas has become much less frequent.

But to deny that it's still a common practice is nothing short of lying & gaslighting.

It takes advantage of the fact that it's hard to prove what happens inside those insular walls.

@JClickbaited @MordyGetz I am all for victims and activists publicly calling out what’s wrong in our yeshivas ! But as long as they admit the progress as well ! And this progress although not enough was done without government intervention

But denying the fact that this used to be the norm and it changed that it became the exception without government intervention is wrong
