A farmer went to his neighbour to ask if he could borrow a rope to tie his donkey outside the house.

His neighbour replied, “I don’t have a rope, but let me give you some advice. Just go through the motions of tying one imaginary around the donkey’s neck. Pretend you’ve tied it up, and it won’t move.”

The farmer followed his neighbour’s advice.

The next morning, he found the donkey standing in exactly the same spot where he had left it.

He patted the donkey affectionately and tried to lead it to the fields. But the donkey refused to move.

The farmer pulled and tugged with all his strength, yet the donkey would not budge. No matter what he tried, it remained rooted to the spot. Eventually, exhausted and defeated, he returned to his neighbour for help.

His neighbour asked him, “Did you pretend to untie the rope before trying to lead it away?”

The farmer looked at him in astonishment.

“But there isn’t a rope,” he replied.

“Not to you,” said the neighbour. “But as far as the donkey is concerned, the rope is very real.”

The farmer went back, pretended to untie the imaginary rope from around the donkey’s neck, and immediately the donkey walked off with him without the slightest resistance.

Don’t be too quick to laugh at the donkey.

Many people, too, are held captive by habits, assumptions, or imaginary limitations that exist only in their minds. They remain convinced they cannot move forward, when in reality nothing is holding them back.

Sometimes all they need to do is recognise the invisible rope wrapped around their minds, let go of it, and take the first step forward.

🚽🕌 Masjid Comfort Room (CR) & Wudoo Area Renovation

Alḥamdulillāh, after the successful completion of our previous Masjid Walls Repainting Project fundraiser, we are now launching another important project for the improvement and renovation of the Masjid Al-Hikmah Community Comfort Rooms (CRs) and Wudoo Area facilities.

🤲 After thanking Allah سبحانه وتعالى, we sincerely thank all our donors and supporters for continuously helping our Masjid and School projects. May Allāh reward you abundantly and place it in your scale of good deeds.

⚠️ Several of the current toilet bowls are already old, problematic, uncomfortable to use, or have poor flushing systems. Some require manually throwing water to flush properly, while others are not suitable especially for young children.

In addition, many CRs still do not have bidets installed, and several faucets in the wudoo area are already damaged or not suitable for proper and comfortable use.

💡 Through this project, we hope to:

* replace old and problematic toilet bowls
* install bidets for comfort and cleanliness
* replace damaged faucets in the wudoo area
* improve the overall cleanliness and comfort of the Masjid & School facilities
* prepare the facilities for the upcoming Dawrah Ibn Sirin and the Opening of S.Y. 2026–2027

🎯 The target amount for materials and labor is:

Raised, Not Crucified: The Night Allah Protected ʿĪsā ibn Maryam

The enemies of ʿĪsā ibn Maryam conspired to have him seized, condemned, and executed. They reported him to one of the ruling disbelieving kings of that era, whose name, according to al-Ḥasan al-Baṣrī (d. 110 AH / 728 CE) and Muḥammad ibn Isḥāq (d. 150 AH / 767 CE), was Dāwūd ibn Yūrā.

Upon his order, soldiers were dispatched to arrest ʿĪsā. They surrounded a house in Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem) where he had taken shelter, closing in on the evening of Friday as the Sabbath night began. With him inside the house were twelve men – his disciples, the Ḥawāriyyūn.....
