"I get to see a wide range of people gain agency over their lung condition, and consequently increase their confidence and quality of life."
Meet physiotherapist Archie James, who says the frequent thank you chocs from patients are a bonus. 😂

Did you know long term respiratory conditions affect 1 in 5 people in the UK?
Pulmonary rehabilitation helps people with a long term respiratory condition to breathe better and do more. Talk to your GP, practice nurse or hospital team for more details.

Last day at the incredible GSTT. I feel so lucky to have worked here and for all the awe inspiring people I’ve met along the way. I will miss this place hugely.
@fitblondemel We have a separate post covid rehab that we are piloting currently, haven’t completed yet but patients are reporting huge improvements. We were really worried about fatigue but so far no reports of worsening fatigue and not the main symptom for many of them.
Tears a plenty in post Covid rehab group today, the patient journey is immense. Sharing experiences whilst taking positive action to regain control of health is immeasurably important. These services desperately need ongoing funding @MattHancock@BorisJohnson@TheACPRC
@AHPLeader This is so sad. Rehab services have such a huge demand on them at the moment and having access to the right rehab at the right time is so important for the patient journey😢
A patient in our f2f covid rehab group said to me today ‘the most powerful thing about this group is connecting with people and realising you’re not alone’. It bought a tear to my eye. Good access to rehab and support is so important for recovery @covid_rehab@GSTTnhs@TheACPRC
After 6 awesome years I’m moving on from GSTT. This is the most incredible job, fab team, oodles of opportunities and support. Would really recommend for anyone with an interest in pulmonary rehab/chronic respiratory disease. https://t.co/4wAau6t9kk APPLY APPLY APPLY @TheACPRC
