All of the standard VBT metrics + the modern measures to support RFD, Force & Velocity Sequence, POP-100.
Bar & Body utility!
"To see how quickly force is transmitted...You can see how fast an object can be moved by looking at POP100,200 to gauge how quickly it moved! It's great for visualizing the invisible!"

I’ve gradually tweaked and modified a staggered test for “football” athletes. The staggered toss is more applicable to a football movement for certain positions like DL. Now keep in mind I’m doing this for player profiling purposes.
To objectively deconstruct the contributions of vertical acceleration vs horizontal acceleration during a broad jump may emerge as the holy grail of digital jump testing.
Stay tuned: @movefactorx
Highest value sport tech product on the market🏁

Accentuated Eccentric Loading (AEL) is accessible, can be very impactful
As w/ so much in S&C, nuance drives results; how the movement was coached, metrics to prove meaningful outcomes
Focus, crisp transition. Velocity Sequence visual for the sharp V, not flat U @movefactorx
We shared planned Broad Jump application using the MFX Sport as a wearable in '25.
In '26, you will see the numbers, you will have the feature.
Why? It's time to break out of the sport tech "vertical box" limitations and get 3D.
(thank you Olympic Performance Coach @bdducroz20 for demoing)
Sharpen and grow the V.
The -100ms & 100ms data points (late ecc into early to early con), that 0.2 seconds defines the mover.
The Performance Zone
Not jump height
Wearable @movefactorx gets you there, minus the high cost of force plates.

11 years and holding @TeamEXOS
Broad Jump evaluates explosive power involving vertical & horizontal performance
Measured by distance
RAW power test, why it exists
It's blind spot?
Technical excellence and body proportions influence the distance result...
over RAW power?
Vertical vs horizontal acceleration contributions of the broad jump (proof of concept).
Significant implications to performance testing and programming decisions.
While certainly not new to @movefactorx users, the modern approach to meaningful 'VBT' may be new to many others.
Looking for transfer? ...look beyond AVG & PK Velocity.

Original Bar Sensei and early Ballistic Ball customers, important MFX Sport app update: v4.11
Addressed an issue of the inability to upgrade device firmware (original products do not support OTA [over the air]).
Now "firmware update" message will not block you from using.
Breaking out of the vertical box, I think we are going to kick off this modern set of @movefactorx measures with broad jump (standing long jump).
Propulsion & absorption qualities.
Specific performance metrics will enhance (replace?) distance.
Estimate is May 26th.
Open question to S&C…
Since its Acceleration, and changes of, that is highly relevant to 90%+ of the athletes you coach,
why is ‘speed training’ the thing often promoted?
I’d want to be coached by someone proficient in acceleration training.
Value of movement performance data that matches the sporting task. (@movefactorx sensor secured sacral area)
Force plate “correlations” to horizontal movement will be yesterday’s news.
We’ll be looking at reaction time, acceleration, velocity, etc. Coming soon.
Sharpen and grow the V.
