My daughter keeps making up games to play around the house where an integral part of each different game involves her eating marshmallows. The entirety of the exercise is to create the marshmallow delivery.
@FB_WSB@TheDadLife@gamestop That’s the goal. They also charge $6.99 to ship each blaster they sell, even if you buy 100. Although sometimes a $30 blaster and their $6.99 fee is cheaper than my LCS.
@WaxMetrix@PlentyOfPivots Shoutout to the guy that told you when these were live on Walmart. I was able to hit as well. Should have gotten more like you did…
This New York Times piece is worth your time. Here’s what is happening, as simply as I can put it.
Back in January, Trump sued the IRS, an agency he controls, demanding $10 billion over the leak of his tax returns a number of years ago.
IRS lawyers did their jobs. They wrote a memo laying out the defenses that could beat the suit, including the fact that Trump filed too late. His own lawyer was in court when the leaker pleaded guilty in October 2023, more than two years before Trump sued.
The Justice Department never showed up to court. Never argued back. Never used the defenses sitting on their desk.
The judge got suspicious and ordered both sides to explain whether they were actually opposing each other or just colluding. The day before that brief was due, Trump dropped the suit.
Same day, his Justice Department announced a $1.776 billion taxpayer-funded “anti-weaponization fund.”
Trump gets a formal apology. The IRS agrees to drop any audits of him and his family, even though a 2024 Times report found a loss in an ongoing audit could cost him over $100 million.
The acting Attorney General, Trump’s former criminal defense attorney, picks the five commissioners who decide who gets paid. Trump can fire any of them. Proud Boys and Oath Keepers are not ruled out.
This is the most corrupt thing I’ve ever seen from an American president.
Where in the hell are my Republican colleagues?

@thomloverro In 1996 I sat next to Art at a dinner & upon arrival, he asked me to get him a beer, but keep it in front of me & he would take drinks when his wife wasn’t looking. His wife met me at the bar. “I know you are getting him a beer. He knows I know. Just try to slow him down.”
SAN ANTONIO SURGE: The San Antonio Spurs improved to 16-1 in their last 17 games with last night’s victory over the Boston Celtics. In the stretch that began Feb. 1, San Antonio leads the NBA in offensive rating and ranks second in defensive rating. Seven different Spurs have led the team in scoring during the run. Victor Wembanyama has been especially strong of late, averaging 33.3 points over his last four games.
Footage shows Democratic Rep. Angie Craig having a heated exchange with Republican Whip Tom Emmer, both of Minnesota, on the House floor.
Craig has strongly denounced the ICE shooting in Minneapolis, while Emmer defended the officers.
More on what was said in a story TK.
