@kutluokan There is a total of like 1 study that compares pre questions with pretraining. The rest compare with nothing. I don’t know why this isn’t discussed more. The meta on pre questions even seems oblivious to how bad a design this is. Retrieval isn’t compared to nothing…

ResearchEd does a great job in “democratizing” the research and helping show how it applies to the classroom.
This is an organization that I hope continues to grow and to become more well known because it helps teachers help students.

Tom challenged us to choose the right formative assessment technique at the right moment to drive thinking and check understanding. 🫶👌❤️
