I need to start making a thread of these. I can't think of another idea that has been tried so many times to such little effect and is still so appealing to so many.
Something I'm trying to figure out is why we invent the same learning technology (IPI, Khan Academy, flipped learning, self-paced learning, Modern Classrooms) every few years going back to at least the 1970s. What makes this idea so appealing?
