Lose, and they’ll ask why you didn’t win.
Win, and they’ll ask why you didn’t win by more.
Win it all, and they’ll ask if you’re going to do it again next year.
The outcome will never be enough.
Enjoy the process & the people. Those are the things that really matter anyways.
Michael Jordan got cut from his varsity team his soph year
Not many people realize that Tom Brady was a backup QB his freshman year of HS on a team that went 0-8
Imagine if they both gave up
Instead it drove them to be the best they could be
Sometimes To WIN you have to LOSE
@DrKCarlson My biggest takeaway is to keep re-evaluating. This made me identify and and look into my strengths and weaknesses. Never stop learning and never stop trying to be better! Asking for help is ok as well! We don’t have to know everything #ED634
@dank_kohler@DrKCarlson I’m also a dean of students. Last year was my first year as dean of students; as well as first year of the position in the district. Learning experience but really, really enjoyed it!
@DrKCarlson I think it was very beneficial to have specific words of your strengths. It’s reassuring to see specific words that tie in to what you think. Also reassuring to think you know your strengths and get confirmation. #ED634
@Lyndsay098@DrKCarlson We don’t have to know everything, and don’t need to re-invent the wheel! Asking for help and finding experts in topics is so beneficial #ED634
@DrKCarlson A1.) I think it’s important to use your strengths because that is what got you in this position and why you’ve been successful. Make sure to surround yourself with people that are good at your weaknesses!
