I made a visual for all the people asking about the time-line of our book series. The books are filled with visual, creative maths tasks & mindset messages. Every book has tasks that span across many grade levels, as they are low floor high ceiling tasks - the best kind!
March reading month!
Each of the students wrote sentences on the leavers about people who care about them and are giving . <3

Technology is not the answer to educating students, but it is a useful tool with endless possibilities and opportunities, there are so many opportunities to teach and learn if used effectively #EDT370
@ajburns814@MissSchweda@dospil_jillian@MissJohnsClass Great points! I Agree, and as a teacher you would definitely have to put thought into this idea and create explicit expectations and be ready to modify it as needed!
@MissJohnsClass@dospil_jillian I agree! I just worry a little about the students recognizing the colors on other kids and maybe that causing problems! But I definitely see the benefit too!
Try and learn something new--that you aren't excited about & that you aren't already good at.
That feeling of uncertainty, uneasiness, and lack of interest is what students experience every day.
Always sell what you teach and be patient with struggling kids.

Julie Crocket #GVMIA18 increasing engagement. Who's doing the math? Parents aren't used to what we want to happen now. A lot of the motivation are the SMPs.
Great advise from Julie Crockett at Math in Action!
Let students teach each other and learn from one another from student centered math discussions!

Depending on what color bracelet her Ss choose to wear in class, T @mrswendymturner can tell where their emotions are that day. How do you check in with Ss?
