Somaliland President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Irro) has met with a group of politicians from Sool Region(Eastern Region) who recently returned to Somaliland after spending time outside the country.
Taiwan @MOFA_Taiwan is not a free as #Somaliland may think . For any international interactions , Twains doesn’t lift a finger without US approval and that is the reason there is no action to help #Somaliland militarily while China is funding proxy wars against SL and empowers Mogadishu.
The question is can @Abdirahmanirro dump Taiwan for China and save @Israel diplomatic relations with #Somaliland if SL angers US and the growing support from @ChinaSelect@SenateForeign
Maybe Saudi will do us a favour by using failed Somalia to attack Hargeisa project. These filthy liars who completely sold the country.. need a wakeup call.
@magannews@Eslanderkow Türkiye wanna revenge when Israel bombed Syria hugely but it can be possible any attack on Somaliland directly or indirectly from KSA before signing Abraham Accord.
@Eslanderkow There's no singles reason instead SAUDI ARABIA messed with Israel and Israel normalize bombing against Saudi Troops in Suez Canal then they destroyed variable sources of KSA so attacking State is a normal but with no declaration isn't hell possible⏳!
There is a sudden wave of hostility and even military threats from Saudi Arabia towards Somaliland after Israel recognised Hargeisa. Riyadh is surrounded by Arab nations with diplomatic relations with Israel, and it has never reacted with such ferocity to any of them. Not even when Sadat broke all Arab taboos against the Jewish state by visiting Israel in 1977. Then, some Arab states set up a pan-Arab a group called 'The Front of Challenge and Resistance'. Riyadh wisely stayed away from them. It is unclear why the usually careful rulers of the Kingdom decided to react in this unusual, and unwise way towards Somaliland.
From the Asian nations, we can learn that economic development begins with Selective Import Substitution—focusing heavily on producing locally what consumes the largest share of national capital abroad and can be manufactured domestically. For example, 50% of what #Somaliland imports is food. Among the 54 types of food items we import, the highest in value are Rice, Sugar, and Vegetables. Out of these three, the most viable choice for domestic production is cultivating vegetables, which directly generates employment.
The World Bank Group notes that vegetable farming creates 2.2 jobs per hectare. In 2025, Somaliland imported 98 million KGs of vegetables, valued at 52 million US Dollars.
Cultivating this volume locally would require approximately 4,500 hectares. This translates to approximately 4,500 x 2.2 jobs = 9,900 jobs created.
Furthermore, at least 20% of these positions would require university degrees across various fields, including Engineers, Agronomists, Laboratory Technicians, Accountants, Finance Officers, Procurement Specialists, Data/GIS Specialists, and more.
Additionally, auxiliary agricultural support sectors—such as vehicle sales and farming equipment supply chains—would see significant growth.

Speaking from experience, I don’t think X is the right place to debate Somaliland’s local politics.
That said, freedom of speech and individual liberty are exceptions. They sit at the heart of Somaliland’s Constitution.
I don’t agree with that outlandish poem attacking the President, but disagreement is not grounds for arbitrary arrest.
If a law has genuinely been broken, deal with it through proper legal proceedings and a fair trial, not arrests based on an unconstitutional, outdated penal code.
Somaliland doesn’t need such missteps at this critical moment.
