Shirt sparked many conversations abt the MMM today. Took the opportunity to speak about the history, how it was/is used as a wedge between communities of color, as well as my experiences growing up and working as an AA person.
Also, my hair got hella long.
Also also, it's 90°.
the past two years have sucked and also living in/through trauma/grief has forced me to be better at:
1. setting boundaries
2. acknowledging my limited capacity
3. navigating relationships with more intentionality and fluidity
4. giving myself grace

I was really looking forward to the session from @mrgarychu at #NCTM2022 this morning and it absolutely delivered. Relevant math content and powerful messages. Appreciate the push to empower our students. Also of note: Slide aesthetic was top notch!
