🙏💙Today we have lost the greatest advocate and Ambassador for Dementia in the UK, Europe and beyond. Nigel Hullah spent almost all his time following his diagnosis with Dementia working, campaigning, teaching, lobbying and researching to create a better life for those living with Dementia, their Families and Carers. He also had a heart that ached for those struggling and worse off and I know he did a lot for other Charities during this Cost of Living Crisis.

Sadly he was found dead at his home today. I know, as I’m sure most of you are, just what he achieved for us, to numerous to mention, which make a simple thank you seem not enough to express our gratitude.

I worked with him for over a decade and we were not only colleagues but best friends. He had so many amazing friends who I know like me will be devastated by this tragic event. Nigel’s Legacy includes the enormous logic, ideas, experience, empathy, compassion, love and friendship he always gave us. He had no time for prejudices or stigma.

Nothing was ever too much trouble, his support was boundless, he always had a wealth of wisdom and insight that could get us all through the worst of days. We could all count upon Nigel to have just the right thing to say.

Nigel’s faith was very important to him and I know that he is now in a better place. Rest in Peace dear friend, God Bless, you are irreplaceable but your Legendary work will mean that you will live on in our hearts and never be forgotten 💙🙏

A huge loss. I worked with Nigel for five years and he was always great to talk to, and was never afraid to tell me when he disagreed (and he was often right). There weren't many better advocates around. May his memory be a blessing to all who got to meet him.
