The fact that no Canadian companies seem to be pursuing robotics in any big way means we are going to become consumers of Chinese or American sensors in our homes and businesses.
And also unable to scale our own for defence. We are screwing this up @EvanLSolomon
If Canada doesn’t build robotics at home, we’ll be buying them from the U.S., China, or others. That means losing control of the data, the IP, and the future. We can’t just supply resources—we need Canadian robotics factories building real systems. 3/4 @build_canada
With a $45M investment from the Government of Canada, @CENGNCanada is launching a Living Lab in partnership with @UWaterloo and @Rogers. The lab will power innovation and commercialization efforts at 100+ Canadian startups and scale-ups, with a focus on defence, robotics, and AI.
@Gatwick_Airport not having a place to empty water containers at security is inadequate. I watched someone empty their bottle into your bins marked "do not empty here" because you don't have disposal. He was short of time and told by staff to use the washroom.
North Korea becoming a co-combatant in the largest land war in Europe since World War II seems like a front-page news story to me, but maybe I'm wrong...

How Justin Trudeau, John McCallum, Ahmed Hussen, Marco Mendocino, Sean Fraser and Marc Miller have royally screwed up Canada’s immigration system.
When they took over, Canada issued less than 15,000 visas to low wage temporary foreign workers which had been on a downward trajectory. Last year, they approved over 83,000 (+550%) and that’s on top of the other unofficial low wage immigration stream, the international student visa scam. In 2023, Canada had 1,040,985 international students who the Trudeau-Singh government allowed to work full time off campus for the first time ever.
Imagine, going from less than 15,000 low wage temporary workers in 2015 to over 1.1 million low wage foreign workers in 2023 (prior to the Trudeau immigration takeover international students were restricted to part time hours to ensure they were actually students).
(Reminder: At the same time, qualified medical doctors are being rejected for being permanent residency.)

@Sally_Adee@AndrewDoan I'd love to hear you two discuss ion channels shaping wound healing and Earthing ameliorating electron transport chain leakages.
@GOtransit@454Paul So what's next in the pursuit of all-day 15-min two-way service on the KI line? I appreciate the passing track and platforms are done. Thanks.
