@mrmacsclasses Mr. Mac! I don’t know if you remember me, but I was one of your students at Wilson when it was considered a Junior High. I was in your 7th grade history class in a bungalow by the basketball courts. I changed my grade from an F to an A in your class.
@mrmacsclasses I was named student of the month because of your motivation and teaching style. It was then I realized I could do anything if I focus. You taught me history, but more importantly, you taught me confidence.
@mrmacsclasses Even though this was 30 years ago, I will never forget you. Mr. Mac, you are one of the best teachers I’ve ever had. I remember the day I aced a history test in your class. You walked by my desk collecting homework and said, “You’re kicking ass and taking names.”
@ArthurDocaka Arthur, thanks for the kind words, and sharing your memories. It shows how powerful our words can be. Glad to hear from you. What are you doing now?
TY @JamesClear Your video 1 % a day - https://t.co/DNw26Tqc4f led to great conversations about habits in my high school leadership classes. Empowered them to make so life changes. Going to make it part of my curriculum from now on.
Great thoughts and ?s in a discussion with my leadership Ss today after reading the intro to #turntheshiparound - 1 wondered if @ldavidmarquet ever pinpointed the exact reasons his past attempts at empowerment ultimately failed - they r looking forward to chapter 1
I used to play an online game with my Ss that allowed them to pick countries and then they were given points based on how many times the country was in the news. Anyone remember the name of website? @lhighfill@jmattmiller@edtech@education@kellyihilton@LisaGuardino
In order to start the journey we need to give up our urge to know everything at the outset.
We only need to know where we want to end up and where to place the next foot.
