11 years since Clerkenwell fire station was axed. Paid for by Londoners to serve as their fire station. Shut by @borisjohnson, NOT because of operational need but to save pennies off council tax. Sold for £16 million and now waiting to be developed. https://t.co/EdYG8kYPn5
@Saracens Thanks @owen_faz for all the amazing memories you’ve given at Saracens. It’s been a privilege to watch him develop at the club from teenager to club & England captain. Looking forward now to seeing him shine for @racing92. Best of luck to the Farrells in Paris.
10 years since Clerkenwell & 9 other fire stations closed by @BorisJohnson & @JamesCleverly. Done to "save" money not for operational need. Clerkenwell still standing unsold, costing £000's a month to @LondonFire. Meanwhile @LondonFire looking for a new HQ. Save the station now!
@EnglandRugby@owen_faz What a leader & player. May have lost today but he is our "John McEnroe" for England and Saracens. Watched him play since he was 17 and showed his talent even from then. Stay strong!
Unlike the quitter @BorisJohnson who axed A27 Clerkenwell to burnish his tax cutting Tory "credentials" the empty fire station still stands unsold ready to serve...

@LondonFire And he is credited with this one also.....still standing empty 9 years after @BorisJohnson shut it to burnish his Tory credentials not because of operational need. Re-open now!
Nine years today since Clerkenwell Fire Station was shut by Mayor Johnson. Shut just to save pennies in Council Tax but costing £ thousands each month to keep empty. @MayorofLondon stop the waste and reopen this vital people's fire station.
