Advice from a historian in the Boston area: Start keeping a journal today, ideally a hand written one if that’s within your ability. Write about what you’re seeing in the news, how yr friends are responding, what is closed in yr neighborhood or city or state or country. Save it.
Kid scores 100% on a retest... Only given a 70%. For what possible justification do we put scores in the gradebook that do not match what a student knows?

Tchrs who listen to kids’ conversations, observe their projects, & read their writing don't need to use tests. But this assumes kids have a chance to converse, design projects, & write. If they just listen to lecs & do wksheets, there’s not much authentic learning to BE assessed

As a rule, by the time a society establishes concentration camps, a significant minority of the population is not only willing to tolerate the brutality of the camps but also *wants* them and believes them to be necessary. These people are unlikely to revise their opinion.
