Wrap Up: Monitoring students progress is key. Students and parents need different kinds of support remotely than in person. Flexibility is crucial. #tldeuno2020
@MrsSchroll I think Flipgrid has the potential to be SO great... but for some it is anxiety-inducing. I have observed both the positive side and the negative side. #tldeuno2020
A3: Incorporate time for students record themselves giving book talks, tour of their house/yard/neighborhood are a few ways to use tools like @Flipgrid to help with relationship building and maintenance. #tldeuno2020
@MonicaR10434321 I could see how fostering collaboration for primary kiddos through tech could be difficult. Flipgrid is an app I would suggest so students can at least see each other's faces through their answers :) #TLDEuno2020
A2: Many programs offer the ability to share platforms on different devices. Students need instruction and practice with nonverbal communication, just like with verbal and face to face to be successful. #tldeuno2020
My nephew is in 7th grade in special ed. He is commented that he gets half of his talking out at school - being home has been so hard and lonely. #tldeuno2020
@MrsSchroll I couldn't agree more. That has always been one of my biggest concerns with remote learning. The lack of interaction between students could have interesting repercussions in the future.

A1: Important considerations when developing remote learning are access to devices/internet and available workspace. Though all students will have iPads in my district, internet access is not equal. Plus, many students do not have distraction-free workplaces. #tldeuno2020
A1: Lessons should be simple enough for students to do on their own, specific to the curriculum goal, and interesting enough to keep student's attention. Socializing students also needs to be a priority. Schools the only outlet for some. #tldeuno2020

Remote learning for me was only experienced as a parent, most challenging with my teenage ADHD son. #tlde2020

@ChelsiJanicek@miller_in_3rd I did Go Noodle with my high schoolers and they looked at me like I was crazy! Then we started playing the video and they started dancing along! So it is great for brain breaks in high school :D #tldeuno2020
A3: I definitely think teachers should consider the STAMR model when implementing technology. It can help teachers to delve deeper into the possibilities! #tldeuno2020
Ed tech is the fastest growing area of education. Learning to incorporate it in our classrooms in constructive ways for our students is imperative. It has the potential to make learning fun, exciting, and engaging as long as we keep it on track with student needs.#tldeuno2020
My favorite Ed Tech tool is @Flipgrid it is easy for 1st graders to login, easy for them to record a video and easy for them to respond. Key word is easy! #tldeuno2020
A3-OBJECTIVE - does the activity teach or provide practice on the skill or you are trying to develop. BACKGROUND- do students know enough background info and have the ability to be successful in the activity?#tldeuno2020
