Recently, our officers received reports of an individual spearfishing within 100 yards of a public beach, which is prohibited. After attempting to contact the spearfisherman from the shore of Pompano Beach, the suspect paddled deeper into the ocean & purposely capsized his canoe in an attempt to hide evidence.
