A very special visitor came to Ames — the designer of the Artemis II Moon mascot, “Rise.”
We welcomed Lucas Ye and his family, who joined us as we watched the Artemis II crew return back to Earth after successfully flying around the Moon.
His zero gravity indicator was selected from thousands of submissions from over 50 countries. His design was inspired by the iconic Earthrise moment from the Apollo 8 mission.
Congratulations again to Lucas!
Thank you @NASA for the most incredible live coverage! To the many scientists & engineers that worked on the math/science of the new angle/trajectory of reentry - hats off - you’ve made Math & Science so cool for a new generation of kids!! Ty!! Welcome 🌎, amazing Artemis crew ❤️
@howie_hua Would you please upload one of your videos to demonstrate with a book how it approaches 1 for the infinite series question you posed?? Ty :)
We're thrilled to see @ManaNutrition Co-Founder/CEO Mark Moore recognized as a Champion for Change by @CNN. Mana produces ready-to-use therapeutic food (RUTF), a peanut-based paste that's helped save millions of children from the brink of starvation. https://t.co/u7cXibk9ao
@howie_hua Do a 90 deg turn to Rt. Notice a tall rectangle of 5 x 3 plus the two columns of 3’s flanking it = 21 + 4 extras = 25. One of those cases of more effort to type than to visualize the math :)
