Pl Note: Jananayagan is the A certified movie, where this influencer is saying the families are walking in. If it had happened for any other actor movies or during DMK rule, his words in this post would have been different by these Maatram groups 😀
Many theatres in TN are continuing with #SpiderMan and continued with #JanaNayagan till last Sunday because they get good canteen sales with these two films as families are walking in! At any day, TN exhibitors prefer films that attract families.
Pl note: Canteen sales is the major revenue for many theatres
True. They claim that is abusive, but they don't explain what it means. Maybe for TVK supporters who knows all kind of abusive words and has mind full of vulgarity, knows the meaning of it.
There is a popular claim that reaction of @Udhaystalin was coded with “double or triple meaning.”
If you are going to condemn an unspoken gesture, someone needs to explicitly state what those hidden meanings actually are. Outrage and legal actions cannot rely on subtext that no one can define.
If you want to condemn or arrest Udhay, you must first substantiate the intent behind his reaction. You cannot legally or morally punish someone based entirely on how others choose to interpret ambiguous, multi-layered subtext.
This is my limited point.
Yes, I am a vocal DMK supporter. I concede.
That said, what DASH did @Udhaystalin actually say in the meeting? The crowd was yelling a particular name. He looks at them, smiles, and says, “Water must come from where it must come.”Then he adds, “l am talking about Cauvery.”
What exactly is @Udhaystalin supposed to do when a crowd yells a name? Pause the rally to deliver a 20-minute lecture on political etiquette? The expectations being manufactured here are completely absurd.
I see this being blown up by select media handles backed by the TVK IT wing.
If saying this lowers my standing here, so be it. There is a limit to blind following. You cannot cast aside fairness and simply keep punching down on someone just because their opponent has a large, blind following.
I’m not blind to PR tactics, and nobody signed a universal treaty with all women just because a crowd shouted one name. Stop treating routine rally dynamics like a monumental political breakthrough.

அப்படி என்ன டேஷ் பேசிட்டாரு?@Udhaystalin
The onus of upholding dignity, respect, and institutional decorum never falls on a single individual, but rests equally on both sides of the Legislative floor.
As the Head of Government, the Chief Minister carries the ultimate mandate of statecraft. Holding the highest executive office demands a commitment to political magnanimity, where power is exercised through measured speech, composure, and institutional grace.
A Chief Minister models the standard of public discourse for the entire State. Equally critical is the duty of the Leader of the Opposition to challenge the ruling administration with integrity and dignity.
Ultimately, a mature political system requires that the Chief Minister lead with magnanimous restraint and the Leader of the Opposition critique with factual rigor and utmost dignity.
When both leadership and accountability operate with mutual respect, democracy can function as a constructive forum for the public good rather than an arena for character assassination at personal levels.
I’d like to see that the Chief Minister reach out to the Leader of the Opposition for coffee/lunch so they can cultivate a cordial working relationship.
After all, they serve as role models for the State's future generations, and they ought to set a good example.

just dravidian things...can't digest TN regime change.
i agree partly. TVK govt should have designated a separate venue for the protesters & avoided making arrests. Its response resembles the DMK's approach: while in the opposition, it organised black balloon protests against Modi. once in power, it stopped such protests & even arrested black balloon protesters.
For the past 5 years, several parties in Tamil Nadu repeatedly protested the Centre over long-standing issues like NEET. Now, when there is a fresh national controversy that has put the Union government on the defensive, why are some of those very organisations shifting the focus to the State government instead? If ending NEET is the priority, shouldn't this be the moment to put maximum pressure on the Centre?
@SriramMadras@_realitycheckx Amazon now, Flipkart minutes, Zepto, blinkit, bigbasket, jio. All do the same service. Use buyhatke app to compare the prices of the item which u wish to buy and order it from the app which has cheapest price and deliver it in minutes.
In May 2026, @tnrags was certifying @kolappan on publishing DMK-ADMK deal, stating that if @kolappan writes, it would be true. If DMK did the same photoshoot without preferring to speak, then it will be the problem for the journalists in India.

Hopefully this thrashes all the accusations. A neighbouring minister is praising the previous DMK Govt in terms of luring investors. TN saw all around industrialisation. Investments flourished across sectors & the state during 2021-25...🙂
At the @IndianExpress Adda, I spoke about how politics can be unforgiving. We competed fiercely with the previous DMK government in Tamil Nadu for investments - won some, lost some.
But I never heard an investor complain of being asked for money by the government. Credit where it's due: the DMK government ran a clean and professional investment process and that deserves appreciation.
🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
During my tenure as IT Minister, I had no role in IT promotions. Sole responsibility was with this Minister's Department of Industries and Investment Promotion.
How could the IT Minister have demanded anything?
So who is lying here - the Minister, or @SouthMatters ?
