This if a difficult school year for so many. Students, teachers, & families are adjusting to a new normal. I will lean into piety and trust with my whole heart that soon we will be doing the things we love/miss again ๐ #ab7leaninLV
My boyfriend and I planned an entire date day filled with golf, dinner, a brewery, & binging one of our fav tv shows! We chatted about our fav memories of summer & talked about our feelings going into the school year (heโs a teacher too) ๐ #ab7summerclosure
Long walks with my boyfriend that end in beautiful sights like this! ๐ ๐ Slowing down and taking in the beauty of our world. #ab7summer2020#ab7med
Teacher Burnout Tip: Use phrases such as, "In effort to practice what I preach and find balance, Iโm choosing to say no" to turn away additional commitments that feel overwhelming or could off-set your balance.

Teacher Burnout Tip: Keep a gratitude journal. Jot down events, quotes, daily happenings that made you smile. In my classroom, I have a box full of parent letters and a quote book that I have had since I started teaching. On rough days, I reread a few stories. #W4Edburnouttips
Set a time each day where you plan to leave school and try to leave all work materials there for the next day! Enjoy your time at home for yourself, family and friends! #W4edburnouttips
@haleymorse22 I love this!! Having something to look forward to is a game changer, and I love how you highlighted that it doesnโt need to be something extravagant! Thanks for sharing! ๐
@TheKdgTeach I love this!! I actually tweeted a very similar thing! On days that feel especially hard, itโs so wonderful to read the kind words others have taken the time to write you and simply be grateful for what you have. Thanks for sharing! ๐
@MsShaw252 Love this!! Being a great teacher is important, but being a great friend, daughter, girlfriend, sister etc is also important. The people in our lives need and want us to be present ๐
Save a few keepsakes. A card from a parent with kind words of appreciation, a picture from a student you finally connected with etc. You canโt save them all, but a few each year. When things feel really hard, pull out the box and remember the impact youโve made๐ #W4edburnouttips
