@jioutiou @beckysvilla The problem is, there may come a day when we can’t make that sacrifice any more. I’ve had cancer 3 times. My medical bills are overwhelming. I’m holding out for now…but I’m not sure how much longer I can do. It’s not fair what they are doing to educators.
@SWAholding4ever @beckysvilla This is what needs to happen. Unfortunately, not everyone will do it. Too many of us are scared it wouldn’t work. I’ve talked to so many teachers trying to get them do stand together and they just won’t take the risk.
The only way we change this trajectory is in the primary and general elections. Until we vote in HUGE numbers for pro- pub Ed candidates, nothing will change. Will this complete disrespect to our profession change anything? We will see…
As all of the bills intended to give raises to Texas educators failed or were infected with vouchers, let’s remember Democrats proposed an amendment giving educators $10k raises in the budget. Republicans all voted against. And Patterson showed their true colors.

@jennifer_blaine@mmcaesar Thank you for advocating for us and your push for others to advocate. Even though our voices were not heeded to, we appreciate you!
New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has signed a new bill into law to ensure all students have access to free and healthy school meals. The bill provides free breakfast and lunch in every New Mexico school, with fresh ingredients from local farmers and growers.
Don’t forget to vote in the March Madness cutest staff baby picture! Can you guess which number I am?
