@AveryEtheringt1 The poll feature on #Nearpod would be a great way to quiz your students on commas! This is a different way of assessment, instead of the usual written assignments/worksheets. Great idea!
@MsGilesTeaches #BrainPop is a great way to engage students in the classroom! My teachers used Brain Pop when I was a student, and I really enjoyed watching the fun videos. The videos they produce could help students struggling in an area better understand, as well!
while I display it on the SmartBoard. Students can type in, drag, or draw their answers on their tablets to questions like, "Who is the main character in our story?" Then, it will appear on the SmartBoard for us to discuss as a class.
A1: I would like to teach second grade English Language Arts. The standard I have chosen to work with is 2.RL.KID.1 Ask and answer such questions as
who, what, where, when, why, and how to
demonstrate understanding of key details in a
text. This standard teaches students how to
follow along with a story and keep up with key components while reading. I would like to use a classroom set of tablets, along with my SmartBoard to do an activity on #Peardeck. I can set up an interactive PowerPoint for the children to follow along with on their tablets,
@SergioVazCab#TEDed would be a great way to improve communication skills for your students. It is also a way to set up a classroom environment that the kids know is a safe space for them to share in!
@CarolanneW I just viewed your #LiveBinder, and I think #Pinterest is a great app to use in the classroom! Teachers can work together to share ideas on the app without even knowing each other! I'm sure the activities you create from your #Pinterest inspirations will be wonderful!
Hi everyone! I am still searching for feedback on my #TechnologyToolkit for my future classroom! I would love for you to take the time to view it, thank you! https://t.co/X5fMA1XFyI
A1: I am ecstatic to start planning my classroom environment! One way I plan on integrating technology in the classroom is by using #ClassDojo. This app not only gives students easy access to myself, but it also keeps them in touch with their classmates. I could use this website
to do group projects, especially in a time like now. Another feature of this app is that it helps parents stay in touch. The students and parents both have access to website, and the parents can view student grades and behavior.
@SergioVazCab Kahoot is a great quiz based game, and it helps get the Ss excited, especially the competitive ones! It also lets you know what was missed, so you can go back over it as the game goes on. I loved Kahoot in school, and it helped me remember materials a lot better, as well!
@ms_kirkendall This is a great idea to introduce topics! I think it is important to know what our students are most excited about learning in a lesson, so we know to cover it! It gets them more involved during class time.
Instead of using traditional testing methods in my classroom, I would like to use #Jamboard to test students. I will assign problems to students to post their solutions, and others can comment on the posts to give feedback. #ap3040
letters back and forth with students. We asked questions about each others hometowns, school lessons, etc. I think doing this project on zoo would be a great idea, it might be a little hard, but it would definitely be neat! #ap3040
A2: To promote differing perspectives in my classroom, I would like to do a #zoom call project. I would have my students pick anywhere in the US to set up a zoom call with a classroom from a school in that town. I did this when I was in sixth grade, and we got to write
