#svs_yrdsb@MrOrr_geek and @MathletePearce have many great ideas for teaching online. Check out their videos and resources... and the podcast with @MsKozai_ of Dr. G.W. Williams. Neat!
Weβre speaking with Danitte Kozai today about how to prevent that student who shows up to your online class for attendance and then disengages and walks away from the computer.

@YRDSBMath secondary students, are you interested in doing some math review before September? On this page (https://t.co/YgLrd42z3z), select your next math course to review some concepts you learned in previous courses.
Our next CSS recipient is Christina Paraskevopoulos from
@drgw_williams!
Christina is a school leader and a budding philanthropist! A leader of the school's peer mentor group and is engaged in many charitable events in her school and community. https://t.co/Cs06L3VAXV
ICYMI: One of our students, Luka, from @drgw_williams has taken it upon himself to help arm frontline healthcare workers with face shields that he makes with a 3D printer.
Did we mention he made the printer himself? #StayConnectedYRDSB#covidEDU https://t.co/0aX0McsREr
A lot of us have some extra time on our hands, so I decided to use mine to try some more video editing.
I present to you...
Degrassi: The Next Generation -- 2019-20 Toronto Raptors edition
IT FINALLY HAPPENED
Pizza Hut was "out of large" pizzas, so they gave me twice as many medium pizzas instead, saying that it was "a better deal."
Was it??

@HTheijsmeijer@christheij@zbpipe I haven't had a chance to go running yet this week - my gym has been posting live workouts on zoom and Instagram which I've been enjoying. But I hope to join you virtually soon! ππ½ββοΈ
@DanScholtzWCDSB I modified the handout to make it a bit more open-ended. Ss looked up the defns in the textbook & tried to figure out how to apply each sampling technique to the rectangle population
Today in #MDM4U we investigated different sampling techniques by taking a sample to find the average area of the 100 Random Rectangles.
Spoiler: the pop avg is 7.44. How do the different samples compare?
(1 group had a judgment sample of 7.4 - so close!) #iteachmath#mtbos
