Any excuse to use Patti Smith’s autobiography in a lesson... I’ve put together an AQA Language 2 Lesson using an extract from Just Kids, and a 19th Century account of (a pretty minging) New York. Let me know if anyone wants it! #edutwitter#teamenglish
@MissNGrace I was at a school for 4 years, had TLRs, then took a ‘step down’ to move to another school as a classroom teacher. Head couldn’t believe it. I’m so much happier. Building back up now with a TLR this year (8th year of teaching). So much more confidence in myself and leadership.
Myself and another member of staff attended this. It was absolutely perfect. A focus on young queer people and their mental health. Can’t thank @QueerLitUK and @alexiscaught enough.
Thanking @alexiscaught for this wonderful event yesterday for young LGBTQ+ & questinging teens on wellbeing. So many supportive parents also turned up ❤
Thank you to @DucieStMCR for hosting us, we can't wait to put on more events like this.

A week off with covid, and I’ve come back to a Valentine’s Day miracle. They’re bruised, they’re battered, but the glue sticks are still there 😭 #edutwitter
@SlatteryMr I love audiobooks. BUT you have to be careful with your choice. I’m a daydreamer, so I need one that’s not too fast plot wise, and not too many characters. I find autobiographies are great, because missing a couple of minutes of someone’s nostalgia isn’t detrimental to the story.
