@JWahl4520 Thatโs great to hear that students were able to create full blown games! Iโm super excited to bring coding into the classroom. Iโm looking forward to using Scratch for some beginning coding lessons. #wuedt6020
@MrDownes214@gotynker Thank you for sharing! Iโve never tried @gotynker! Iโll have to look into it ๐
Do you ever use Tynker for cross-curricular lessons?
@mspizzini One barrier is accessibility to technology. I fortunately work at an Apple Distinguished School and we are 1:1 with iPads. My 1st year teaching I set up a @DonorsChoose page to get 6 iPads donated to our classroom. Those 6 iPads were shared with over 100 students. #wuedt6020
@Hampton0415 Yes, they can be used as teaching instruments! I would imagine it would be a great tool for exploring places and spaces you could not visit in person. Whether that be locations like other countries for social studies or various habitats for science.

@MrDownes214 AI can be used for student learning by adding it as an option for projects, promoting creativity! I know @magicschoolai has several options like creating song lyrics, talking with a chatbot, and even an idea generator! ๐ก

@SGuiou1996 I love using tech to enhance my math lessons! Students will create their own addition or subtraction word problems then draw a picture to represent the problem and solve! They do this on @Seesaw and Keynote @AppleEDU#wuedt6020
@AlexaM21559@MrDownes214@KFranklin923 Hi! I definitely agree we you all! Especially when starting a new curriculum itโs nice to be able to reach out to teachers that are already familiar with it! #wuedt6020
@mspizzini@Hampton0415@KFranklin923 Not only can students learn about different cultures but schools can get ideas from other schools on how other cultures are celebrated! I had a parent say โI wish my daughterโs school did thisโ (referring to a Diwali celebration we had done school wide) #wuedt6020
@Hampton0415@KFranklin923 I agree! Social media is a great starting point for collaboration. Whether is be locally or globally through X or instagram people can find a way to connect with each other! #wuedt6020
@KFranklin923 Social media can extend cultures locally through live ed chats on X and reels on instagram. Teachers can share a glimpse into the classroom and create a starting point for collaboration. Itโs also a great way to connect with others outside your community! #wuedt6020
@SGuiou1996@KFranklin923@Symbaloo I was introduced to Symbaloo last semester. My coworker would use Padlet to share important websites and a brief description of each. What would you say your top 3 reasons are for using Symbaloo over another app? #wuedt6020
@mspizzini@KFranklin923@padlet I love @padlet and my students got the hang of it pretty quickly. It was a great tool for students to see otherโs posts and then be able to comment and respond.
@KFranklin923 I love using the app @AppleEDU#Keynote to promote collaboration. Keynote offers so many features that make it easy to use for group projects. In #Kindergarten Iโll assign roles when first getting started with Keynote. #wuedt6020
