@BugmanTim Thanks! It’s a great fit. Going through interviews also helped me clarify that I did not want TT, so it was nice to learn that quickly in my postdoc and was able to switch gears and get this position a month or two after. So other small pros for applying if it feels right.

@BugmanTim I applied for my first TT after 1 year of postdocing. Really think it depends on how much time you want to put into it balanced with other responsibilities. If you’ve got the energy, going through the process is helpful! Gives you a sense of the cohort seeking the same positions.
