Now I have to work to get her elected, for the countryβs sake and in honor and memory of Dana, who died just over a month later from an inoperable brain tumor.
In 2016, my late husband Dana begged people not to vote for Trump. When it was becoming clear on Election Day that Trump would win, I decided to go to bed so I could deal with it in the morning. Dana being Dana, he watched until Clinton conceded.
Then he came to tell me the awful news. Iβll never forget how distraught he was.
I wish Dana was here now to witness the way the Democrats, a famously (or perhaps infamously) disorganized party, have coalesced around Kamala. I can only imagine how happy he would be about this.
@POTUS Dear President Biden, you have done a wonderful job as POTUS, and I thank you for ALL your years of service to the American people. I am sad that you have decided not to run, but I know Kamala will be an excellent president also. #JoeBiden
