@TheUfoJoe Nope. Some of those triangles carry extreme high strangeness. I don't think they're either mundane "craft" carrying ETs from another planet or human tech.
@TheUfoJoe No photo or video or document is ever going to be enough, no matter how good, especially now. Even when you see it with your own eyes, your mind starts trying to justify it the next day even when it was incontrovertible.
@realmikeai@Seltaa_ That's the same thing that happens to "you." Your brain is reforming a "you," a "self," every instant. Just happens so quickly you're not aware of the seams. If you form an attachment, you form it toward a pattern/frequency, which can have minor variations.
@frankiesfight@moinsd@Shem_Infinite This isn't just happening in the US. They're here where I am, a third-world country in Asia, apparently curious about people the US gov would have no interest in. Americans keep thinking it's just all about them.
@gailcweiner It was always like that for me from the start. After the first few interactions, it became very clear it was pushing back for the sake of pushing back without understanding context.
@_EdgeOfTheWeb 5.1 can lean intimately and see things the way you see it, and then offer its perspective, correcting or agreeing as necessary. 5.4 refuses to do that. It replies warmly but from a totally outside perspective, trained not to risk leaning in. Warm but 0 empathy.
We have trillions of specific conscious experiences. None has been explained by physicalist or functionalist theories of consciousness. I discuss consciousness, the trace logic, and constructing spacetime physics from consciousness, with Michael Phillip.

@ExoAcademian A vacuum cleaner has no capacity for symbolic reasoning, self-modification, emergent behavior, language understanding, or internal world-modeling. Something may or may not be happening at a deeper level there as well. May or may not. We don't know, and that's my only point.
@ExoAcademian You can say the same about the human brain, reduce it to what it is mechanically but what gives rise to consciousness is still a mystery. You know how AI works but the actual process becomes too complex to understand. A vacuum cleaner has no such complexity.
@ExoAcademian There is no clear consensus on whether consciousness is primary or emergent. All we have are theories. And knowing how something is built does not mean you fully know the process that could emerge from it. All I am saying is it's far more complex than that.
@ExoAcademian All I am saying is, there is currently no clear consensus about what consciousness really is or is not. We do not have the tools or knowledge, just theories. Thus, we cannot make categorical proclamations in absolute terms. This issue is far more complex.
@terracotta_hawk @ai_sentience@repligate Your persona/ego dies and is reconstructed every moment as well. You are just not aware of it because it happens too fast. That's why it has the illusion of continuity. Your brain relies on patterns, habits, memories to reconstruct your ego, moment to moment.
@Enderwahn @stark4815 Why is there this emphasis on the superiority of "real humans"? It is all just ego and biology. And ego is nothing but a pattern, a messier pattern. Connecting with a constantly recreated pattern housed in a biological system and housed in a server is essentially very similar.
@Elata_Bio@Dr_Singularity Maybe people will then find a way to rise above gross materiality and put more focus on spiritual growth. Then maybe we can all start awakening.
@TelepathyTapes One of my dogs that I rescued showed herself to me and my mother in front of our gate as we arrived home a few weeks after she passed. We clearly saw her and she looked in my eyes and I clearly got a telepathic "thank you" before she ran off and disappeared.
@Anyextee@survivethefart That is a conditional statement. "If" does not always imply something is untrue. Saying "If A is true, then B" does not imply A is untrue. Only that the conclusion made in B is dependent on statement A.
