So, This is just disloyalty in its purest form. It is a seditious declaration that treats Indian territory as negotiable & Indian sovereignty as disposable.

▪︎● This is not an isolated outburst either. The Tangkhul-led NSCN-IM has had a long record of using the "China card" to pressure & blackmail India during negotiations. From the 1960s, when Naga cadres travelled through Myanmar to China for training & weapons, to later decades when the group maintained contacts, sought arms & appointed representatives in China while talks with India were underway, the threat of external support has repeatedly been deployed as leverage. Whenever the peace Negotiation stalled over their demands of a separate flag & constitution, the NSCN-IM has always kept the China option alive as a pressure tactic.

▪︎● So, Under Section 152 of the BNS, this is a seditious speech that encourages separatist feeling & endangers the sovereignty & integrity of the country. It may not yet be an open act of secession but it is the public rehearsal of one & it is secession in intent. The only thing missing is the actual flag-hoisting. The intent is already made public.

Leaders of the Naga community in Manipur cannot point fingers at the Kuki-Zo while ignoring the blood on their own hands. More than 20 Kuki-Zo people have been killed by Naga armed groups.

If Naga leaders genuinely want peace and justice, accountability must apply to all parties. There can be no selective justice. Lasting peace can only come through accountability, coupled with a meaningful dialogue between the conflicting parties.

It has come to my attention through various sources that a pastor from the Liangmai community was seriously injured today during an exchange of fire between the Tangkhul NSCN-IM/ZUF-Kamson and Kuki Village Volunteers at IT Road.

As an advocate of peaceful coexistence and the protection of unarmed innocent civilians, I hold the highest respect for church leaders and pastors.

However, upon ascertaining the identity of the injured individual, I was completely shocked.

I humbly appeal to all communities not to misuse the sacred position of pastor. If you are a pastor, you must remain true to your calling and refrain from misleading the people and the congregation. A pastor should carry a Bible, not a machine gun.

⚡️BACKGROUND:

▪︎Lamdangmei was previously the operational area of the ZUF (Jenchui) group. NSCN-IM wrested control of it from them, killing several Jenchui cadres in the process.

▪︎Recently, NSCN-IM trained a number of Zeliangrong youths under the banner of "Naga Village Guards" & stationed them in the area to prevent any attempt by Jenchui to recapture the village. Should such an attempt happen, it would pit Zeliangrong against Zeliangrong & Zeliangrong blood being spilled by another Zeliangrong group.

▪︎This would cost Jenchui public support & the strategy appears to be working.
The Nagas & Meiteis have accused ZUF (J) of colluding with the CRPF in today's incident.

A letter dated 28th June 2026 from the 13th Battalion, The Punjab Regiment to the DC & SP, Imphal West, clearly states that there is an illegal blockade at Kanto Sabal village near Leimakhong Military Station, allegedly by ‘E’ Company, ex-152 CRPF Battalion.

This blockade has cut off essential supplies to civilians living around Leimakhong Military Station.

The Regiment has formally urged the civil administration to remove the blockade immediately to prevent public hardship and any security lapse near a sensitive military area.

Instead of addressing this administrative failure, why are you choosing to target the Indian Army and the Kuki-Zo community?

As a public representative, your priority should be to demand accountability and legal action against the concerned Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police, Imphal West, for their inaction.
