@ewschaetzle Always a power Q: the possibility of “true” mimesis has always been integral to distinguishing the human from its others (animal/machine). And so-called “false” imitation has really explicit racial history as well (mockingbird as well as aping)
@dkulchar@billhd Oh yeah, I’m not saying that was a wise political strategy for English. Only that when asking the question of how we can generate more public interest, we have to be a bit honest about what “value” we offer (and what we don’t).
