@cursor_ai why does the changelog lag behind the actual version? I'm on 0.47.0. Also the linux python path breakage fix (mentioned in 0.46.10) didn't seem to improve anything... still got @intellijidea open simultaneously
@nullvoxpopuli That's cool. That is certainly something I do like that I can do with Vue/vite. Doesn't make up for Vue syntax feeling like its years behind ember's...
@tabnine Begging you to please stop with the mutliple-times-a-day plugin updates for JetBrain IDEs. No, I'm not going to stop my processes and work all the time to restart for you. Why can't you use the normal plugin update system either?
@cibc bank can't make online payments work properly for OUAC, CC verif broken - so a week delay using bank xfer to get Uni applications out waiting for $$ that's been taken from my account 2 days ago. Unacceptable. And to charge ontario students > $8 for using CC! horrendous.
@WaterfrontTO Children and elderly were being crushed and trampled yesterday as people surged when the gate opened for Center Island while security stood doing nothing at all. I could hardly stay standing. Dangerous situation @TorontoStar@cityoftoronto
I run every PR as part of my code review. Why? Because often, the PR doesn't even work right.
Often a PR only works on a "happy path". It ignores validation, error handling, accessibility, loading state, etc.
It's best to catch these issues *before* merge.
@nullvoxpopuli I am absolutely DELIGHTED by Ember's trajectory. I can't think of another framework that has evolved so much, even less with such a well-though migration plan and strong backwards compatibility. I wish more people would gently consider it.
@nullvoxpopuli@sukima I think, big picture, we need a drumbeat of reminding people that ember still exists, showing people that not only does it still exist, but it's also surprisingly modern.
Then we show ways that Ember is ahead of the competitive pack, leading into a big Polaris push.
@kirillgroshkov I disagree.
There are few things more important than naming. Naming impacts maintenance and velocity later. And naming things well isn't easy for many.
So if I don't understand a name, I carefully read the code, and then try to suggest a better one.
@IntelliJSupport @intellijidea Thank you! Consider though that it is a very hard setting to find - I would never have thought to look for the words "inlay" or "vision" . For me it is always an empty space, never occurred to me that it was a space for some sort of metrics. Why space if no metric shown?
@nullvoxpopuli If only I could quantify that on a fast-changing but long-lived research app...we've long since hit the expensive phase for this. The saving grace is that ember allows new parts to be up to date despite the old stuff...
