Many years ago, we learnt about MapWindow and used it for a while.

A few months later, we developed a custom solution to suit our needs (our own GIS)

We later learnt about Quantum GIS (known as QGIS today). We explored it inside-out and became our go-to GIS.

We taught it to other students(with many opposing and preferring the cracked versions of ArcGIS

We spread the word and got training gigs from Corporates (while students).

We won a grant from RCMRD/USAID/NASA.

We graduated.

And the story goes on and on.
