Arranging the petals in this design legit took me almost an hour and I am not even joking.

Each petal is arranged in a way that doesn’t disrupt the visual flow of the design.

Also no same petal is floating the same direction, this helps create a natural visual rhythm✨

I was once given a task at my office

One of the executives had a project he wanted to work on, and he asked me to draft the BEME (Bill of Engineering Materials and Equipment) for it

It took me about an hour 30 minutes to do it, and afterwards, I sent it to him

When I was done, he asked me, "How were you able to do this? Did you use AI?"

I was stunned

In my mind I was like, "AI ke? 😂"

Me that just started using AI that year (2025) 🤣

I nau said, "Experience, Sir."

He was shocked and said, "Experience?"

"Yes, Sir."

He doesn't know that I've been doing this thing since the summer of 2022 😂

If I don't have the expertise to back up those years of experience, am I not a fish? 🤧

Now, this is the same person (me) who will teach you embedded systems at @yfe_embedded's workshop

I've been doing embedded systems for a long time now, and one thing I'll forever stand by is

Don't be comfortable

Whether it's in tech
Whether it's in engineering

Always upskill

Because you know something doesn't mean you can't be better at it

If I had taken this seriously in 2024, I would have been 3 or 4 times better than I am now

But I have no regrets

UPSKILL LIKE CRAZYYYY!!!! 🔥

And always be willing to go out of your way to learn new things

It'll change your life

Why should you be scared to call a price for your expected salary?

Why should you be scared to ask for a raise?

Why should you be scared to say "No!" if something doesn't sit well with you or makes you uncomfortable?

Life will give you what you're willing to take

And if it doesn't want to give you...

Then FIGHT FOR IT!!! 🔥

Take your life by the horns, and go after what you want

Just because you're good at something in theory doesn't mean you can build the real thing and tackle the challenges that come with it in real life

That said, as much as you love theory, have the will to get your hands dirty and actually BUILD SOMETHING

Whether hardware or software

Portfolios and track records aren't built on theory alone

What does it mean to be an engineer?

I'll tell you in one word... STRESSSSSS!!! 😫

For the longest time, I've always had this opinion that engineers are the underdogs of the professional world

We work like goats, are always thinking of powerful and yet cost-effective ways of solving problems

And yet, people will look at us and say, "What's so special about your course sef?"

Uhh Ehmm... Excuse you?! 🧐

Do you think it's easy to build all the equipment you see daily, and yet it doesn't run into as many issues?

Do you think it's easy to make sure something is powerful enough to withstand negative internal and external factors?

Stable and durable enough so the device lasts longer

And efficient enough so while considering all these factors, it doesn't overheat, break down, or do mediocre work?

Do y'all think it's easy? 😂

Because I mean...

Civil Engineers build the roads, bridges, buildings you see every day

Chemical Engineers produce the substances that help doctors do their work well

Electrical Engineers help you get the lighting in your houses and areas down packed

Without Mechanical Engineers, your cars wouldn't exist, and industries would be screwed

Petroleum Engineers? You'd say bye-bye to diesel, fuel, kerosene... everything that isn't purely electric that gives us power

Aeronautical Engineers... SpaceX probably wouldn't even exist 😗

Biomedical, there's no hope for recovery for those who've lost body parts. Prosthetics would be gone 💔

Mechatronics Engineers? You wouldn't even have anything 😭

Games, Robots, Cars, Phones, Smartwatches... this gist is even plenty

Engineers go through a lot just to make sure everything you enjoy is at the best possible quality

We're the silent glue that holds everything together

Without us, society would probably be in shambles

So next time you want to overlook an engineer, think back on this post, and swallow your saliva 😌

To my engineers out there, I didn't celebrate you well on Engineers' Day, but please, accept my celebration today 💐

It's not easy, but we still do it every day because we love it

And I love that for us really

Never underestimate the importance of an engineer

They may just be saving your life without you knowing 'cause most times we're behind the scenes
