#Bangladesh | Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has vowed to return to Bangladesh before the end of the year despite legal cases, a death sentence, and a ban on Awami League activities.

#WATCH | Gurugram: On her article on PM Modi, Author & daughter of former President Pranab Mukherjee, Sharmistha Mukherjee says, "I wrote an article which was published in many Hindi and also regional newspapers. So there I shared an insight made by my father regarding 2014 election and Narendra Modi ji. That was for the first time in the history of Lok Sabha elections that a new face was declared as the prime ministerial candidate. Otherwise if you see even within Congress also, first there is the election, there is always an assumption and specially if the election is being led by a Prime Minister of the previous government, there is always an assumption that that person is going to be the next Prime Minister. But here in this case, it was a new face and he was projected as the Prime Minister. And so as if it was people who chose not just BJP, not just Narendra Modi Ji's party but Narendra Modi as a Prime Minister to lead India. So that was a very unique factor. This insight was made by my father. And also this is unprecedented that the first term MP, Narendra Modi Ji has been in politics and made his mark as Gujarat Chief Minister and created that aura around him. But 2014 was his first Lok Sabha election. So this is perhaps unprecedented in the history of India that a first term MP is entering the parliament house as the prime minister. So this is quite unique...So my father told Narendra Modi ji when he came to see him after the elections that this mandate is not just for your party but this is a mandate for you also, so you have a far greater responsibility."

An interesting recollection from Pranab Mukherjee's daughter.

After the 2014 verdict, Pranabda reportedly told NaMo that this mandate was historic, not merely because the BJP won a majority.

But because India had voted DIRECTLY for a declared Prime Ministerial FACE.

Most previous mandates were won in the name of parties.

2014 was won in the name of a leader. Whatever one's politics, that remains a defining moment in India's electoral history. Do read it.

Government must make a strict new law immediately: Any girl who murders her husband should get a non-bailable offence with harsh punishment. These cases are increasing rapidly these days.
Also, put her mother and father in jail too. If the girl says ‘I can’t speak’ or ‘I was helpless’, still arrest the parents for raising her like this. No more easy escapes.

#WATCH | Tamil Nadu: Malathi, a 76-year-old resident of Madurai, has been using a significant portion of her pension to feed monkeys living around Tirupparankundram since 2015. Despite her age and health challenges, she continues to visit several locations every Saturday, where nearly 350 to 400 monkeys gather when she calls them.
