Critique is fine and necessary, not saying itโs not. Iโm saying that thereโs a difference between discussing technique and asking questions that get to the core of decision making by an artist, and thus knowing the work and creator better - than just burying an artwork in explanation and case study to prove oneโs own knowledge.
Itโs weird when one artist tries to flex their knowledge of art history and practice on another artist in order to critique that artistโs work or career.
Wish I was off to Lisbon this year. The show that @johnkarp and team pull off should make every artist and collector in the space proud. The gang that shows up are, yes, die hard passionate crypto artists - but more than that, the atmosphere and vibe they communally create is a mixture of creative intellectual discussions and cultural depth. The gang is chill. For all those attending for their first time, enjoy. For the repeat attendees - you know what Iโm talking about.
