@SouthYeoEast We have nicknamed an unspoiled field near us Cuckoo Field - for the first time we can recall, it is full of Cuckoo Flowers (and even has a resident cuckoo)
Onshore wind is more than twice as cheap as gas, but building new turbines on land in England is effectively banned.

Your bills are too high to ban the cheapest form of power
Sign the @britainremade petition and tell the Government to drop the ban on onshore wind turbines. https://t.co/yy3gSLYbBs
@YoungsBeer back in 2022, 25-30 empty oil drums were dumped on the bridle path near us. @sgloscouncil removed most of them but some were deep in the hedges. Now the weeds have died, they have been extracted & 2 have @whitehlittleton labels on them. 😐
@TheMarkSadler@libtek_alex@HeatCalculation Nothing wrong with stone houses as long as they don’t get damp. ASHP keeps ours toasty and no new radiators (although old plumber was a bit enthusiastic about big new radiators when we had oil!🤣)
@philsturgeon @BeccaBlease @beardedjourno Willows are extremely vigorous and should sprout from trunks that big with no problem just so long as no one damages the roots…..
Did some calculations on running costs of #ev#ElectricVehicle using @myenergiuk app. Using solar costs 1p per mile (lost export payment); using our @ecotricity energy provider costs 10p per mile; rapid charger average about 20p. Diesel car about 40p.
@DavidSandum Hang in there; my OH has just got through Covid and got very stressed that it didn’t go away quicker, but it did go eventually. Just learning to paint so not the greatest but here’s my Nature Diary entry. (Ps don’t tell anyone I haven’t done one since June 🥴)
