Growth demands sacrifice.
The moment your life starts taking shape, you must learn to disconnect from habits, circles and obligations that no longer support your future.
Like you can’t seriously plan for your first mortgage while actively participating in 5 different WhatsApp wedding contribution groups every month.
Sometimes, maturity is simply choosing long-term stability over short-term social pressure.
MY CANADA EXPERIENCES
Today I speak at the WESTERN UNIVERSITY about what makes UGANDA unique alongside Amb @kajik5566 and why consider Uganda in their future travels.
Then I will speak to a group of UGANDAN CANADIANS about how they can take advantage of Canada by bringing Canadian tourists.
I have to travel to CANADA to look for business and they live with the market that Uganda needs. Uganda would benefit a lot if the diaspora led the way.
We were also at OTTAWA MARATHON and because we gave free coffee, many people wanted to know where to buy the same coffee in Canada and that’s a business opportunity for Ugandans living and working here.
Big market for Ugandan products here
APPEAL
Those who have my phone number, kindly do not give it out to every person looking for help with school fees. Much as I understand the desperation and wish I could help, I am only an individual human, I cannot handle the entire country’s needs for help. Over 10 to 15 people call me in a day asking for help with fees, sickness, jobs, food and so on … So, when I cannot help, please understand.
Today a lady called literally crying about her daughter left with two years of Medicine at KIU, but now totally stranded. I explained that I could not help, but she insisted pleading in tears: ‘May God touch your heart not to leave me like this sir …’. I could feel the pain in her voice, and I was pained too. But I wish I was more than me.
Bob Marley’s youngest son, Damian Marley, speaks about Michael Jackson.
“Even though my dad is Bob Marley, Michael Jackson was still my mentor. My siblings and I have loved him since we were kids. It’s so sad we didn’t get to see and experience more of him.”
On the evening Barack Obama was elected President of the United States, he didn’t rush off to the loud celebrations.
Instead, he stayed inside a hotel room in Chicago playing Scrabble with his daughters — Malia Obama and Sasha Obama.
A simple moment.
But it revealed a great deal about the man who entered history that night.
While millions of Americans celebrated his victory, Obama wanted his daughters to remember the evening not as a political spectacle, but as time spent with family.
On January 20, 2009, Barack Obama took the oath of office as the 44th President of the United States, placing his hand on the same Bible used by Abraham Lincoln in 1861.
For the first time in American history, an African American became president.
But Obama’s story was never only about grand speeches and historic ceremonies.
During the campaign, he still made time to read Harry Potter to his daughters before bed.
As a child growing up between Hawaii and Indonesia, the future president loved comic books and superhero stories.
Even his political career began in an unconventional way: in 1996, he won his first seat in the Illinois Senate after a difficult legal battle over the signatures submitted by his opponents.
Then came the White House.
But even there, Obama refused to abandon simple habits.
He personally read letters from ordinary Americans and often replied to them himself — sometimes late at night. He believed a president should hear people directly, not only through statistics and reports.
Obama is left-handed — like only a handful of U.S. presidents before him.
He wore nearly identical dark suits and the same style of shoes every day so he wouldn’t waste energy on unnecessary decisions.
And he had one tradition he never broke: on Election Day, he always played basketball. The only election he had ever lost happened when he skipped it.
Michelle Obama once shared that even in the White House, her husband made his own bed every morning — a habit taught to him by his grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, whom he lovingly called “Toot.”
Even while living at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, he never forgot who he had been before becoming president.
And perhaps that is why millions of people around the world saw in him not just a politician —
but a human being.
A man who, amid power, fame, and history-changing decisions, tried to preserve the things that mattered most:
family,
simplicity,
humanity,
and a connection to the people for whom all of it was meant to matter.
Guardiola: “Just one more thing before you go home to take some beers or wines, if the next years if you find my in the streets here, in Europe, or in the states or wherever, and you are a City fan, come to me and hug me.”
“My dad won a trophy bigger than Champions League and Premier league. As a child I have always prayed for my family to stay together and live in peace and harmony. Last year, the news of my parents separating blew up the internet and a lot of lies were said about us. Though, they did had issues but the media exaggerated it and it affected us terribly. But today I can tell you there's harmony between my parents and I'm so happy. This is the biggest trophy.”—
Maria Guardiola hints at reconciliation between her parents.
