On June 23, 2026, Rwanda Polytechnic- Kigali College, in partnership with the Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion (MIGEPROF), awarded certificates to 278 women and girls who successfully completed a three-month short-course training program in Mining.

Through this training, participants acquired relevant practical knowledge and skills in various areas of the mining sector, empowering them to contribute meaningfully to Rwanda’s growing mining industry.

This achievement marks another important milestone in promoting women's economic empowerment, advancing gender equality, and increasing women's participation in technical and professional sectors.
