This Christmas and Holiday season, please consider donating directly to organizations that help fund childhood cancer research, since our government has once again failed to. I'd recommend @AlexsLemonade , @StBaldricks , @PediatricCancer , @childcancerfdn , & @PCRF_Kids
@SenWarren Thank you for helping bring light to this. The amount of funding that goes towards childhood cancer research is a miniscule 4%. Unlike our adult colleagues, we have a limited amount of new pediatric cancer treatments available each year bc of this. Our kids deserve #morethan4
@johnjfair@Raine461@igorbobic Please tell that to all the parents of my patients who have lost children because of the miniscule amount of funding that goes towards finding a cure for childhood cancer compared to every other cancer. This is a frankly an ignorant and heartless response.
@YouKnoImHim @RHK1670732 @JoJoFromJerz Substantial impairment of a major bodily function is not defined. The physician must try to save fetus unless this would increase the risk of the pregnant patient's death or impairment.
Fetal heartbeat was present, and early stages of sepsis are not life-threatening
@YouKnoImHim @RHK1670732 @JoJoFromJerz Let's help you get to the beginning. You said this was medical malpractice, however, state law states "The patient must have a life-threatening condition and be at risk of death or 'substantial impairment of a major bodily function' if the abortion is not performed."
@YouKnoImHim@JoJoFromJerz Medical provider here. No malpractice or incompetence (other than by the govt). Until the mother is ACTIVELY in a life-threatening situation, doing anything to intervene is considered "elective." She had to be near death to act. They did, and it was too late. Hope this helps
Today I had to explain to my kids why I'm so worried. If I were to get pregnant again, termination any time before my uterus ruptured (again) would be considered elective. I barely made it last time.
My kids don't deserve for their mother to be murdered by politicians #vote
For Halloween 🎃, wanna see something really scary? 80.5% of American teens report at least 1 Adverse Childhood Event (ACE) and 22.4% had 4 or more 😱 ACEs have been linked to a number of life-long medical conditions. We're failing our kids (1/3)

by not emphasizing social- emotional learning and by allowing continued antiLGBTQIA+ rhetoric. SEL has been shown to build protection against the effects of ACEs. Of those who reported 4+, the majority were LGBTQIA or questioning.

Thank you @RepRaskin for this well written piece! Mass shootings are a public health issue that is showing no signs of stopping. We need common sense gun reform now. How many more lives have to be taken? #voteforkids@MomsDemand@JHU_CGVS@JHU_GVP
JD Vance says mass shootings are a "fact of life." No, here in America, they're a fact of death. But we know how to end the ravages of gun violence, whether against presidential candidates or schoolkids—if we have the will.

@MrNOVApolitico It's Dr., actually, and both are by definition abortions and between a family and their doctor. But thanks for your concerns about my relationship with my husband! Definitely not creepy 😬 and for so much amplification today!
@MrNOVApolitico I appreciate you continuing to comment so my actual message of evidenced based healthcare and women's rights (including my right to life as a survivor of uterine abruption) continues to be amplified! Excellent for the algorithm! Yay science!
